11th EuroGOOS International Conference 2026

On 18-20 May 2026, EuroGOOS, European Global Ocean Observing System hosted an international conference gathering marine scientists and technologists, decision- and policy-makers, and the private sector.

ObsSea4Clim team was present throughout the event, taking active part in presenting our work, sharing insights, and exchanging knowledge on physical ocean observing.

Our team delivered the following presentations:

🔹Alessandra Onida (Ecole Normale Supérieure) presented her work on advancing the Rolling Review of Requirements for ocean applications, sharing insights from a structured requirements questionnaire.

🔹Ronan McAdam (CMCC Foundation – Centro Euro Mediterraneo sui Cambiamenti Climatici) presented how the Rolling Review of Requirements is applied to marine heatwaves.

🔹Sigmund Kluckner (IEEE FRANCE SECTION) presented the European Best Practices Repository and its support of ocean practices for research and ocean information, and moderated an exciting panel discussion on the future of ocean observing systems.
