ObsSea4Clim project start

ObsSea4Clim officially started on 1 February 2024 and will run for 4 years. The project is funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe Programme.

ObsSea4Clim is coordinated by the Danish Meteorological Institue. The consortium includes 17 partners and 2 associated partners.

ObsSea4Clim brings together key European actors within ocean observing science, climate assessment, Earth System modelling, data sharing and standards, with users of oceanographic products and services
– to improve sustained and multipurpose observations vital to European and global climate requirements, and
– to deliver an improved observation framework based on EOV/ECVs and embedded in a Rolling Review of Requirements approach.

ObsSea4Clim will:
– improve regional and global climate assessments and
– provide projections and actionable indicators for sustainable development provided.
